Product Manager, Learning Platforms & Impact

Generation Citizen, (Multiple States)
$66,120 - $72,898Remote

About The Position

Generation Citizen is seeking a mission-driven Product Manager to lead the build and evolution of their learning technology ecosystem. This role serves as the strategic bridge between the civic education mission and the platform infrastructure that supports thousands of educators. The Product Manager will ensure digital tools enhance teachers' ability to facilitate student engagement, strengthen student outcomes, and improve teacher skills. The role requires strong relationship-building skills to ensure products support an exceptional learner experience and robust content strategy. Collaboration with instructional content designers and national/regional teams is essential for deploying high-quality training and impactful learning management solutions. This position reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and partners closely with the Chief Operating Officer. While positions are currently remote or hybrid, all staff members are expected to travel overnight at least once per year for staff retreats and other team gatherings.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the K-12 or education technology space, with a deep understanding of how to translate pedagogical goals into intuitive, user-centered digital experiences.
  • 2+ years of product management experience overseeing learning management systems (LMS) or edtech platforms designed specifically for K-12 educators or youth development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing product roadmaps, handling complex third-party software integrations, and establishing UX consistency.
  • Strong capacity to translate evaluation questions into software metrics, configure dashboards, and maintain unsiloed data pipelines.
  • Exceptional relationship management and change management skills necessary to run cross-team governance and train diverse internal groups.
  • Strong project and portfolio management skills, with a track record of managing competing priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience navigating organizational change, including managing stakeholder resistance, building cross-departmental alignment, and translating strategic priorities into practice.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Tableau or comparable data visualization tools, and Qualtrics or similar survey platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own the comprehensive Docebo architecture, shaping the digital experience of teacher learning to maximize user experience and engagement, and maintaining overall UX standards to resolve technical and programmatic inconsistencies.
  • Develop and own all internal workflows to support the internalization of product experiences and connectivity to additional systems (ex., Tableau, Google, Salesforce).
  • Manage the learning product feature roadmap, shifting the organization from a reactive approach to using its strategic plan as a guide and drawing on user feedback and insights.
  • Lead and maintain system integrations to ensure workflows do not break at scale.
  • Conduct ongoing audits of platform processes to identify operational bottlenecks, and actively recommend and implement system optimizations that reduce administrative burden and improve 'cost to serve' metrics while optimizing the learning journey.
  • Translate teacher engagement and course completion data into actionable insights for district partners and internal program teams to demonstrate impact.
  • Align curriculum and e-learning course data directly with broader organization-wide impact measures.
  • Build shared dashboards and reporting from Docebo into insights for the Program & Impact team.
  • Develop and deliver internal training initiatives to increase organizational 'data literacy,' empowering non-technical staff to independently access and interpret LMS data to inform their own work.
  • Co-design learning pathways alongside the Director of Instructional Design to ensure asynchronous learning modules respect teachers' limited prep time while delivering high-impact civic pedagogy.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all LMS workflows, ensuring that platform processes are transparent, replicable, and resilient to staff turnover.
  • Run strategic learning systems meetings, set standard operating platform policies, and resolve technical tradeoffs.
  • Proactively identify and address potential cross-functional friction points; lead the communication infrastructure for complex projects, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned before, during, and after implementation phases.
