(Senior) Product Manager Heating & Cooling (m/f/d)
About The Position
1KOMMA5° is building the energy system of the future with Heartbeat AI, integrating solar, batteries, heat pumps, and e-mobility into an intelligent, controlled system. The company aims to transition 1.5 million households to renewable energies by 2030, with over 3,000 employees across more than 80 locations worldwide. This role focuses on owning 'Heat as a product,' ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and controlled heating, hot water, and cooling solutions for households, managed by Heartbeat AI. The position involves defining product strategy, customer outcomes, and KPIs, translating constraints into requirements, optimizing thermal performance within the Energy Management System, and aligning hardware, software, and customer experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience on hardware-software products, energy, HVAC, or similarly physical systems.
- A track record of owning a customer outcome across more than one engineering team.
- Comfort at the seam of OEM interfaces, optimization, and customer UX.
- Excellent English and German language skills.
- Based in Germany or willing to relocate.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with heat pumps, SG Ready, EEBus, Modbus, OEM cloud APIs.
- Field or installer experience.
- Experience in thermal optimization or HEMS with heat pumps.
- Experience with heating and cooling products across more than one country.
Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for Heating & Cooling, defining its evolution across markets.
- Define customer outcomes (comfort, cost, control, reliability) and the KPIs to measure them.
- Translate hardware and field constraints into product requirements, cutting work that does not serve the outcome.
- Drive thermal optimization on the Energy Management System.
- Align hardware, the Energy Management System, and customer experience for a unified heat and cooling experience.
- Write specs, run discovery, prioritize, and ship product features.
