About The Position

SMS group Inc. seeks Product Managers – Forging to work in Pittsburgh, PA, to maintain dialog with SMS Service Shops, SMS Sales & Customers to offer solutions for equipment repairs or modernizations. Specific duties include the following: Develops standard repairs, modifications, modernization packages that can be scaled across multiple customers/ equipment. Provides repair methods (shops & field sales) component modernization, maintenance contracts, recommended spare parts proposals etc. Creates and standardizes product inspections reporting and proposal (flat service). Creates internal & external core products training documents/ presentations. Collaborates with marketing to create & or update Forging product service website & brochure. Creates market analysis for new and existing products and services. Creates market analysis for new and existing products and services. Responsible for growth planning, sales target setting, and tracking core products. Collaborate with OPS team to create and implement digital inspections & ERP system integration throughout our service locations. Creates database of spare components that can be altered to cover multiple customers equipment. Supports spare part group for core components. Supports customer operation issues by analytics of IBA Data, dimensional inspections, utilizing onsite resources to perform inspections, and gather data to provide maintenance, modernization and new solutions for the operational issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering or Marketing
  • At least ten (10) years of experience working with forging equipment in a product management or maintenance role.
  • Mechanical processes for forging equipment
  • Electrical processes for Forging equipment
  • Automation implementation processes for Forging equipment
  • Service Management
  • Project and Scheduling Management
