About The Position

The Stellarus Product Management team defines technology products and brings them to market to help Stellarus’s health plan customers improve cost, quality, experience and growth. The Product Manager, Consultant defines and drives product strategy, roadmap, and execution for platform and interoperability capabilities that enable secure, scalable data exchange in complex and regulated environments. This role connects customer needs, business goals, and technical delivery—working closely with engineering, design, data, and compliance partners to deliver user centric, value driven digital solutions. With a strong focus on APIs, integrations, and healthcare interoperability, this role supports the development and scaling of platform capabilities that serve internal products, partners, and non-profit customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years PM experience; 3+ years on technical platforms (APIs/integrations/backend).
  • Delivered products in regulated/complex environments
  • Agile execution (Scrum/SAFe), backlog + dependency management.
  • Technical fluency in APIs, integrations, data flows, platform architecture.
  • Data-driven PM (KPIs, instrumentation, analytics-informed prioritization).

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on interoperability standards: FHIR R4, HL7, X12; payer/health plan ecosystem familiarity.
  • Regulatory translation experience (payer mandates → product requirements).
  • Compliance-by-design experience (privacy/security requirements partnering).
  • Platform KPI ownership (uptime/latency/adoption/data exchange volume).
  • AI-enabled platform feature delivery (use cases → metrics).
  • Advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Support the definition and execution of product strategy and roadmaps for platform and interoperability capabilities, aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
  • Lead and support user discovery, persona development, and validation with technical stakeholders (e.g., developers, architects, customer technical leads) to ensure strong problem definition and product market fit.
  • Own defined areas of the product lifecycle from ideation through launch, measurement, and iteration, with an emphasis on APIs and integration capabilities.
  • Translate customer, regulatory, and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and a prioritized backlog; partner with engineering to ensure clarity and feasibility.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver scalable, high quality platform and interoperability solutions, including API gateways and system integrations.
  • Translate healthcare payer needs and regulatory mandates (e.g., CMS, ONC) into actionable product requirements supporting standards such as FHIR, HL7, and X12.
  • Contribute to the delivery of AI enabled capabilities (e.g., data matching, routing, normalization) by defining use cases, requirements, and success metrics.
  • Define and track KPIs and product analytics (e.g., API uptime, latency, adoption, data exchange volume) to inform decisions and measure product impact.
  • Ensure product requirements and delivery approaches align with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, Transparency in Coverage).
  • Communicate progress, risks, trade offs, and outcomes clearly across cross functional teams and stakeholders, tailoring communication to technical and non technical audiences.
