About The Position

At JPW Industries, we are looking for a Product Manager to take the wheel of our entire Chip-Making portfolio under the JET and Baileigh brands and decide where it goes next. This is not a maintenance seat. It is a builder’s seat: you will set the roadmap, launch the products, and own the results. With industry-shaping brands like Jet, Powermatic, Wilton, Edwards, Baileigh and Axiom, JPW is redefining excellence in industrial tools and machinery for professionals worldwide. Chip-making, and CNC in particular, is where the market is heading, and this role sits at the center of that growth. If you know metalworking, love building products people brag about, and want your fingerprints on a category, keep reading. As Product Manager – Chip Making, you own the full lifecycle and P&L story of the portfolio: strategy, roadmap, launches, pricing, and performance. You will partner shoulder-to-shoulder with Engineering, Marketing, Channel, and the Metalworking Sales Directors to turn end-user insight into products that win in the market. The 3–5-year Chip-Making product roadmap, with a strong emphasis on CNC machinery. New product development end to end — from Voice-of-Customer insight and competitive analysis to a profitable, design-driven launch. Category performance: pricing, margins, forecasting, promotions, and portfolio decisions (expand, evolve, or retire). The market narrative: competitive positioning, line reviews, and the sales tools that make reps and dealers dangerous.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial product management.
  • Hands-on CNC machinery experience and a real feel for the product, the market, and what end-users need and want.
  • A track record across the full arc of product launches — program development through in-market sales.
  • Self-directed, business-hungry, and eager to grow the category and yourself.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for reporting and product research; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Thrives in a fast-moving, evolving environment and takes on new responsibilities as the business grows.
  • Willing to travel to customers, dealers, and tradeshows as the business requires.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Roadmap: Lead cross-functional teams to translate end-user, application, and distribution needs into products that exceed expectations. Drive market research and Voice-of-Customer work; turn competitive and cost analysis into smart, profitable bets.
  • Own the Category: Set strategy, pricing, and financial targets by product line; monitor sales and margins and act on what the numbers tell you. Make the tough portfolio calls — what to grow, what to launch, what to sunset and support the annual budgeting process.
  • Fuel the Field: Arm Marketing and Sales with messaging, copy, technical content, and launch materials that sell. Get in front of customers — visit end-users, key dealers, and accounts, and represent JPW at tradeshows. Lead line reviews and competitive analysis; respond to special quotes and enable reps, dealers, and customer service.
