About The Position

The Brokerage and Retirement Products Product Manager is primarily responsible for providing financial product support to the Truist Wealth Financial Advisors. This role involves contributing to the design and implementation of sales and marketing strategies, recommending investment options, and evaluating product offerings. The Product Manager will also develop relationships with product manufacturers, stay current with industry trends, and educate Financial Advisors on technology systems supporting the products. Risk management and adherence to firm policies and values are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent education, training or work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of investments/wealth management experience
  • Minimum 2 years of direct experience with assigned product area
  • FINRA Registrations Series 7 and 66 or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite
  • Life, Variable Products, and Long-Term Care licenses, if applicable to assigned product area

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or designation, such as CFA or CFP
  • Experience using the NFS Wealthscape and Envestnet systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial product support to Truist Wealth Financial Advisors.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of sales and marketing strategy, including face-to-face meetings with Financial Advisors.
  • Recommend appropriate investment options for specific client needs based on an in-depth understanding of the products on the platform.
  • Perform periodic evaluation of products and services offered by product manufacturers to determine continued suitability.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with product manufacturers, industry peers and technology partners in order to stay abreast of product innovation and industry trends.
  • Participate in client and prospect meetings with Financial Advisors as requested.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the technology systems that support the product in order to be able to educate the Financial Advisors.
  • Remain current with internal firm investment advice and guidance, industry trends, market events and available product sets.
  • Manage risk by aligning activities with the firm’s risk appetite.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Firm and product-specific policies and procedures.
  • Perform work in a manner consistent with the Truist purpose, mission, and values.
