About The Position

Our client is building an AI-native operating system for complex medical-legal workflows, helping independent physicians operate and grow their practices while reducing the administrative burden associated with healthcare and legal processes. The platform sits at the intersection of healthcare, law, and artificial intelligence, transforming complex, high-stakes operational processes into structured and automated workflows. The company has achieved strong product-market fit, reaching approximately $10M ARR in under 14 months, with a pipeline supporting an ambitious $18M ARR goal for 2026. The company is profitable, backed by top-tier healthcare investors, and operates with a small, highly experienced team of approximately 30 people. The founding team brings experience from leading technology companies and more than 30 years of experience operating independent medical practices. As a Product Manager, AI, you'll own the development of new AI-powered products from 0-to-1, working closely with engineering, design, operations, and customers to turn ambiguous problems into scalable products. This is a highly autonomous startup environment where product managers are expected to own products and processes end-to-end, move quickly, operate with limited structure, and directly influence the company's product direction.

Requirements

4–9+ years of product management experience
Strong experience owning products from 0-to-1
Experience launching new products or major product lines from initial concept through production
Experience working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
Experience partnering closely with engineering and design teams
Experience working on AI-powered products or AI systems preferred
Experience with complex operational workflows preferred
Experience working in healthcare, legal, fintech, insurance, or other operationally complex industries preferred
Demonstrated ability to independently identify opportunities and drive execution
Strong customer empathy and user understanding
Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to make product decisions
Strong product strategy and roadmap ownership experience
Experience operating with high autonomy and limited structure
Demonstrated ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints
Experience building products in startup or high-growth environments preferred
Strong understanding of modern AI product development
Experience working with foundation models and LLM-powered products
Familiarity with AI agents and agentic workflows
Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
Experience partnering with engineering teams on AI-powered product development
Ability to prototype and iterate quickly with technical teams
Understanding of AI product evaluation frameworks
Experience defining metrics for AI product quality and performance
Understanding of model reliability, safety, and operational considerations

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end development of new 0-to-1 AI products from problem definition through launch and iteration
Own product strategy, roadmap definition, prioritization, and execution
Identify high-leverage product opportunities across complex healthcare and medical-legal workflows
Translate ambiguous customer and operational problems into clear product requirements
Work closely with engineering and design to rapidly prototype AI-powered product experiences
Partner with technical teams to leverage foundation models, AI agents, retrieval systems, and emerging AI capabilities
Design human-in-the-loop experiences that combine AI automation with appropriate review and escalation mechanisms
Build product experiences with operational controls appropriate for high-stakes healthcare and legal workflows
Define evaluation frameworks to measure AI product quality, model performance, reliability, safety, and business impact
Establish product metrics and measurement systems to understand product performance
Use quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to prioritize product opportunities
Conduct customer discovery and develop deep understanding of physician and operational workflows
Work directly with customers and internal operations teams to identify pain points and close feedback loops
Roll up your sleeves to understand and improve operational processes
Translate operational insights into scalable product and automation opportunities
Establish operating rhythms and processes required to scale successful products
Partner with engineering and design teams to move quickly from concept to prototype to production
