Product Manager, AI-Platform

Roger Healthcare•San Francisco, CA
•$160,000 - $200,000

About The Position

Roger's AI platform sits at the center of how clinicians and admin staff document care. The product decisions we make directly impact whether a nurse gets home in time for dinner or spends another hour on paperwork. We need a Product Manager who feels the weight of that and is energized by it. This isn't a "write tickets and attend standups" role. You'll be deeply embedded with clinicians, agency operators, and our engineering team to identify the problems worth solving and ship solutions that make a real operational impact. This is an early product hire with real ownership over product direction and the opportunity to shape how product is done at Roger as we scale.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment.
  • Technical background: Whether through engineering, CS, or hands-on experience building with technical teams, you can go deep with engineers and have meaningful conversations about AI/ML systems.
  • First principles thinker: You break problems down to their fundamentals rather than defaulting to how things have been done before.
  • Strong customer instincts: You're in the field, on calls, and in the data constantly because you know you can't build great products from a conference room.
  • Experience owning workflow-heavy or operational products where the details matter.
  • Comfort making tradeoffs with incomplete information and moving fast without sacrificing quality.
  • Clear communicator: You can align a room and write a spec that engineers actually want to read.
  • High ownership mentality and comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Mission motivated: You care about healthcare and are excited to build products that genuinely change clinicians' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Live in the customer's world: Talk to clinicians and agency leaders every week. Understand their workflows deeply, not abstractly.
  • Own product discovery and direction: Identify the highest-impact problems, translate customer needs into clear specs, and define what success looks like.
  • Partner closely with engineering: Work side by side with engineers to ship high-quality solutions quickly. Stay involved from spec through launch.
  • Work cross-functionally: Collaborate with sales, customer success, and operations to validate priorities and ensure what we ship works in the field.
  • Drive outcomes, not output: Define success metrics, measure real usage, and iterate relentlessly.

Benefits

  • Platinum health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 401(k) plan
  • Unmatched career growth opportunity as an early product hire
  • Make a tangible difference in the lives of clinicians and patients
  • Work on a mission that matters, backed by AI innovation and top-tier investors
