Product Manager, AI Marketing

Campspot
$120,000 - $160,000Hybrid

About The Position

Campspot is building an AI-powered marketing product for campground and RV park operators. Most of the owners we serve are running a park, not a marketing department — they know their marketing could be working harder, and they do not have the hours or the specialist help to make that happen. We are building software that closes that gap. This is a new product, and we are hiring a Product Manager to own it. You will define what we build and in what order, work directly with our Head of Product, engineering, and design, and partner closely with our marketing and customer success teams — who work with these operators every day and will be among your most important sources of insight. The interesting problem here is not the technology. It is trust. Asking a small business owner to let software act on their behalf — with their budget, their brand, and their guests — is a big ask, and getting that experience right is the heart of this role.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience: with a track record of taking features from idea to launch and iterating on them after.
  • Experience with AI-powered products: you have shipped, or worked closely on, features built on modern AI — LLM-powered workflows, copilots, or generative content tooling. Hands-on experience with agentic or autonomous features is strongly preferred.
  • A working understanding of what today's AI can and cannot be trusted to do: and the judgment to scope accordingly rather than over-promise.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making: including designing experiments and defining success metrics when the answer isn't obvious.
  • Customer-centric mindset: with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences for non-technical, time-constrained users.
  • Proven project management skills: with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: this is a new product, and you are energized rather than stalled by an unfinished picture.

Nice To Haves

  • Marketing or martech experience: you have built marketing technology, worked in a marketing function, or owned products for marketers. Practical familiarity with digital marketing channels is a real advantage here.
  • Experience on a 0-to-1 product or major new product line: taken from concept through launch.
  • SMB or vertical SaaS experience: particularly serving owner-operators who wear many hats.
  • Experience in e-commerce, travel, booking, hospitality, or the outdoor industry.
  • Experience with platform or multi-product interoperability: making separate products feel like one system.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with company goals and user needs. Turn a broad opportunity into a focused first release, and define what comes next.
  • Determine where the product recommends, where it acts, and where a person stays in the loop. Design the review and control experience that makes operators comfortable delegating meaningful work to software.
  • Spend real time with campground and RV park owners to understand how they market today, what they outsource, and what they will never hand over. Translate what you learn into requirements engineering can build.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, support, and other teams across Campspot to define product requirements and ensure successful implementation.
  • Own the connection points between this product and the rest of the Campspot platform, so that what we build feels like one coherent system rather than a set of separate tools.
  • Shape our approach to third-party marketing integrations, balancing speed to market against long-term platform ownership.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, the competitive landscape, and customer feedback, and bring a clear point of view on where we should lead and where we should follow.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and finance on how this product is packaged, priced, and positioned.
  • Use data to define the KPIs that measure success — for the operator and for Campspot — and iterate based on insights. Establish how we evaluate output quality, not just usage.
  • Lead product development cycles from ideation through launch, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Run agile ceremonies, manage and prioritize the backlog, and foster an agile mindset within the team.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and successes to ensure alignment and support.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options at affordable rates
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • Flexible time off
