Product Manager

Descript is seeking a Product Manager with a strong background in SAAS companies to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the feature roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing a deep understanding of user needs. They should have excellent communication skills and a technical mindset, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality products. The role offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $200,000 per year.

• Drive the feature roadmap for the team, from idea generation through to execution and analysis
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing to ship product features that delight users and deliver meaningful impact on Descript's business
• Develop a deep understanding of users and their needs, using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product strategy and ideas
• Embrace data-informed decision making by developing and testing product hypotheses and capturing insights from growth test success and failures
• Have 3+ years of product management experience at a SAAS company, preferably in a startup environment
• Care deeply about understanding customers and have experience in customer discovery and defining features that solve customer problems
• Be highly organized and process-oriented, comfortable working in environments where individuals are responsible for setting their own day-to-day priorities
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and collaborate well with a diverse set of colleagues
• Be technically-minded with experience using analytics and business intelligence platforms to understand user behavior
• Have an appreciation for quality and experience collaborating with designers and engineers to build intuitive and delightful user experiences.
