This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Management Lead Consultant in United States. This is a high-impact role for a senior product leader with expertise at the intersection of product strategy, AI, and commercial growth within B2B software and SaaS. You will work closely with investment and portfolio teams, providing deep product insights to guide investment decisions and value creation strategies. The position requires evaluating product defensibility, AI credibility, go-to-market execution, and growth potential across diverse, high-stakes engagements. You will lead and contribute to product assessments, synthesize findings into investment-grade recommendations, and advise portfolio companies on strategy and capability development. This role offers exposure to complex business contexts, fast-moving environments, and the chance to influence high-value investment outcomes while leveraging AI expertise.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of product management experience with significant leadership roles (Director, VP, CPO, or equivalent) in B2B software or SaaS.
  • Proven track record shipping products at scale, owning product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Hands-on experience building or leading AI/ML-powered products, including strategy, model risk management, and user experience considerations.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI strategies externally, assessing data assets, technical differentiation, dependencies, and roadmap realism.
  • Strong analytical skills, leveraging market research, customer data, and competitive intelligence to produce defensible conclusions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, capable of conveying complex product and technology insights to non-technical executive audiences.
  • Experience across enterprise software, full SDLC, and working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-accountability environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product diligence and assessments across the full investment lifecycle, from pre-close evaluation to post-close value creation and exit preparation.
  • Evaluate product strategy, roadmaps, go-to-market approaches, and competitive positioning, including defensibility and market opportunity.
  • Assess AI and ML integration in products, distinguishing genuine capability from superficial positioning, and provide actionable insights on risk and value creation.
  • Analyze product-market fit, customer segmentation, expansion potential, and assumptions underlying growth projections.
  • Conduct primary research through executive interviews, customer discovery, and expert network engagement.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into structured, investment-ready deliverables for deal teams, investment committees, and company leadership.
  • Advise portfolio company product teams on strategic priorities, organizational capability, and execution plans post-close.
