About The Position

Visa’s 12-week Internship Program provides hands-on experience, professional development, cross-company connections, workshops, learning sessions, social events, and the opportunity to present project achievements and recommendations to Visa leaders and stakeholders. The Data & AI Team works on enterprise data strategy, product development, investment priorities, governance, policy, and marketplace execution, in partnership with privacy, technology, business, and regional teams.

The Data & AI Product Management teams are seeking interns to support product ownership and requirements development for data products and platforms serving internal and external customers. Interns will collaborate with product leadership, technology, product operations, data and analytics, privacy, governance, and regional and global solutions teams. The role provides hands-on experience contributing to product and platform initiatives that support innovation across Visa’s global business. Visa roles require digital fluency, including using emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools to support everyday work.

This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office; the specific expectations will be confirmed by the hiring manager. Work hours vary based on departmental needs, and the position requires 5–10% travel. It is performed in an office setting and involves sitting and standing at a desk, communicating in person and by telephone, and frequently operating standard office equipment such as telephones and computers. Visa will not sponsor work visas for this position, and future sponsorship will not be considered.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Product Design, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with graduation expected between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, including clear and concise written and spoken communication, professional judgment, and no repeated grammatical or typographical errors.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to define and refine product requirements, including coordinating workshops with technology teams on requirements, feasibility, and project planning.
• Conduct user research and stakeholder interviews to understand pain points, user personas, and user journeys.
• Develop product prototypes, demos, and wireframes to illustrate possibilities.
• Analyze usage data and feedback to inform feature prioritization and roadmap planning.
• Manage projects to modernize platforms by migrating on-premise datasets to Visa’s hybrid cloud, ensuring alignment with the enterprise data model and readiness for business and analytics use.
• Help improve data quality and discoverability by adding data checks and ensuring metadata and data lineage are recorded correctly.
• Support the creation of governance and usage processes that track dataset access, ensure security, and promote efficient data use across the company.
