About The Position

Oversees the negotiation, structure and administration of contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors and suppliers for purchasing goods. Ensures favorable terms and volume discounts are negotiated that comply with company policies and procedures, legal requirements and/or other specifications. Manages the activities and staff involved in purchasing and procurement decisions. Provides strategic procurement guidance and develops programs, policies and procedures to produce efficiencies and reduce expenses through strategic sourcing. Ensures compliance to formal sourcing/procurement policies and preferred supplier agreements. Directs, reviews, and approves all major sourcing decisions. Manages a team including providing oversight and direction for financial and operational activities related to supplier product level inventory plans including negotiated volume purchase agreements, multi-source product alignment, supplier inventory investments and new product introductions. Monitors market dynamics and develops supply plans to support demand trends for products within areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Typically 8+ years including 3+ years of management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in supplier and category management, ideally in interconnect components.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
