About The Position

Our products are out in the world helping people hear what matters: in classrooms, courtrooms, theaters, houses of worship, and meeting rooms. We need an engineer who wants to keep them there, working well, built reliably, and priced right, long after launch day. As our Product Lifecycle Engineer, you'll be the go-to technical owner for released Listen Technologies products. You'll resolve production and field issues, manage parts as they go obsolete, drive engineering changes through to completion, and keep our documentation accurate through every revision. You'll work closely with our overseas manufacturing partners and with teams across engineering, quality, supply chain, and service. Our Manufacturing Test Engineer builds test capability for new products. You own what comes after release.

Requirements

Associate's degree in electrical, electronics, computer, mechanical, industrial, process, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
5+ years in product, sustaining, manufacturing, or test engineering, or a comparable technical role.
Working knowledge of analog, digital, and RF electronics, and hands-on skill with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition systems, and other measurement equipment.
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing test fixtures, including firmware- or software-controlled test systems.
Experience managing component obsolescence and validating part substitutions.
Experience running engineering changes within document control and quality systems such as ISO.
Strong root cause problem-solving and the ability to turn findings into corrective actions that stick.
Clear written and verbal communication, including writing procedures and work instructions others can follow.
Comfort working across functions, time zones, and cultures with internal teams, vendors, and overseas partners.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including extended trips to overseas manufacturing partners.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Altium Designer experience for PCB design and manufacturing data packages.
Experience supporting products built by overseas contract manufacturers.
Background in wireless audio, consumer electronics, or assistive listening technology.
Experience with cost-reduction or value-engineering programs on released products.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot issues reported by manufacturing, service, and customers, and lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Find and fix software and firmware defects surfaced in production testing or post-release support.
Deploy approved firmware and software revisions to manufacturing partners and confirm they're implemented correctly.
Take part in design reviews for released-product improvements.
Evaluate alternate components when parts go end-of-life, become constrained, or offer a cost savings.
Run part-to-part equivalency analyses, quantify savings, and coordinate testing and validation of replacements.
Work with component vendors to find cross opportunities, and maintain the approved cross-reference documentation.
Initiate and drive Engineering Change Requests and Orders to timely resolution.
Build and maintain manufacturing data packages in Altium for updated products and test fixtures.
Keep drawings, procedures, work instructions, and test records accurate and current.
Update test fixture software to support product revisions, and troubleshoot fixture hardware and software issues.
Maintain version control for test software and hardware designs, and support validation of updated test systems.
Improve production test procedures used by our overseas manufacturers.
Create standardized work instructions for manufacturing processes and demo kit preparation.
Coordinate demonstration kit assembly for product demos and customer evaluations.
Provide responsive technical support to manufacturing partners, including on-site visits overseas.
