Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or equivalent college degrees without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 60% of travels domestically and internationally by commercial transportation to customer sites.

  • ASET (Associate of Science in Electronics Technology), BS in Mechanical engineering, Electronics, or related area, BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering), or BSEET (Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology), HNC (Higher National Certificate) and HND (Higher National Diploma) in electrical/electronic engineering

Responsibilities

  • Install new tools at customer sites with guidance and supervision as needed following all procedures and consistently complete installations within the required cycle times.
  • Focus on mature tool installations and KLASE upgrade on 1-3 models.
  • Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems related to installation under guidance and supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic system level problems, based on technical knowledge, education and training. Seek immediate help from Sr. Engineers and management when problems occur that may exceed knowledge, education and training.
  • Prepare field service reports and daily passdowns on installation progress and non-conformances under guidance and supervision. Contribute to post-activity Quality Feedback Report.
  • Take ownership of administrative install tasks. (Passdown, install progress, non-conformances)
  • Obtain all necessary international travel documents and manage their personal lives to be ready to travel for extended periods.
  • Take LKS training on related tools.
  • Proactively seek out training opportunities with senior PIEs, tech supports and CSEs. Work with senior engineers to get the necessary support.
