About The Position

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Product Handling Assistant Manager, you will assist in managing the Product Handling department. The Product Handling department is responsible for consolidating product, restocking locations and moving inventory within the distribution center. You will motivate and provide leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently and on time. Requirements

  • Possess prior leadership or management work experience
  • Knowledge of computer operations, including warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
  • Lead and motivate a team of employees
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

  • Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

  • Prior warehouse work experience

Responsibilities

  • Motivating and leading team members

  • Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
  • Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
