About The Position

RELEX runs the planning decisions behind 600+ retailers and manufacturers worldwide, deciding, at real scale, what gets forecast, stocked, priced, promoted, and produced across the entire value chain. Few problems combine this much data, this much complexity, and this much real-world weight: get it right and a shelf stays stocked, a factory line doesn’t stall, food doesn’t spoil in a warehouse before it’s sold. Get it wrong, and it shows up in actual losses, for some of the largest retail and manufacturing brands in the world. We’ve grown for 76 consecutive quarters straight. The first half of 2026 was the strongest in the company’s history. We’re a team of 2,000+ people, headquartered in Helsinki, with offices across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific. RELEX Manufacturing is the newest part of a company that already leads its market. We are extending RELEX from retail into manufacturing: production, distribution, purchasing and scheduling for food and beverage and CPG process manufacturers. The unit is young and moves at startup pace, but the customers are enterprise, and there is a scaled global organisation behind us. A small team by design, where everyone ships work that matters. The role We are looking for a Product Engineer for our Manufacturing engineering team in the US, embedded in our largest and fastest-growing market. You will be the R&D face of RELEX to US manufacturers, combining engineering ability with real customer presence. You will own high-impact deployments from presales through to production for specific areas, working directly with customers to make sure our solutions deliver measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

Strong Python and SQL, and the data modelling instincts to work in complex, messy multi-site data
A solid grasp of heuristics and constrained optimization. You can reason about why a solver produced the plan it did, and what to change to get a better one
Enough machine learning literacy to work with forecasting models in production: diagnose why a forecast is wrong, and explain it to a customer without hiding behind the model
Fluent with AI tools in your daily work, and interested in driving their adoption across a delivery organisation, not just your own workflow
Strong business acumen, able to translate technical work into measurable financial impact and communicate it clearly
Comfortable managing ambiguity and taking full ownership of outcomes
A manufacturing, supply chain, or comparably complex industrial operations background, ideally in food and beverage or CPG
Direct experience working with US enterprise or mid-market customers in a technical or solutions capacity
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be based in the US and available for regular domestic travel to customer sites and production facilities.

Responsibilities

Engage across the full customer organization, from C-suite to the shop floor.
Own relationships at every level, from the executive sponsor setting the mandate to the planners and production supervisors running your solution day to day
Lead requirements end to end: gather, understand, workshop, challenge and agree on what customers actually need, not just what they ask for. You are the person who makes sure we build the right thing
Build and ship the solution yourself: RELEX configuration, plugins, Python, and integrations, running in live customer environments. Where the core product needs to change, you work with central engineering to get the improvement into core rather than engineering around it
Own the outcomes: KPI delivery on the customer side, solution performance, and SLAs. You are accountable until it works, and you know what “works” means in measurable terms
