Product Engineer
About The Position
This role focuses on preparing manufacturing documentation, designing and validating manufacturing tools, and troubleshooting production issues. The engineer will be responsible for creating AutoCAD drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical reports for new products, particularly those with known applications and manufacturing methods requiring validation. The position also involves designing, developing, and validating manufacturing tools such as compression molds, extrusion dies, templates, fixtures, and jigs, along with their associated AutoCAD drawings or machining files. The engineer will use equipment like EDM, CNC, Lathe, Vertical Mill, and hand tools. Additionally, the role requires troubleshooting manufacturing issues, correcting documentation via the ECR system, and assisting in the implementation of new technologies and processes into production. This position requires access to information subject to ITAR regulations, meaning applicants must be U.S. persons.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering-related field or equivalent in education/experience
- 1+ years relevant Engineering work experience.
- Ability to read and interpret prints
- Working knowledge of Auto CAD/Inventor Skills or similar
- Must be a U.S. person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee or Refugee) due to ITAR regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes

- LEAN / Six Sigma experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare manufacturing documentation (AutoCAD drawings, specifications, methods, work order attachments, BOM’s, technical reports, etc.) for new products and input into the PEP ERP system, focusing on products with known applications and manufacturing methods that may require validation.
- Design, develop, and validate manufacturing tools (compression molds, extrusion dies, templates, fixtures, jigs, etc.) and associated AutoCAD drawings or machining files.
- Safely use EDM, CNC, Lathe, Vertical Mill, and hand tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Generate or correct manufacturing documentation using the ECR system.
- Assist in the implementation and transfer of new technologies and processes to production.
