The Product Engineer will apply new technologies to develop products that solve customer needs, taking a concept from the idea phase through to production launch. This role requires a broad understanding of engineering principles and collaboration within cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables. The engineer will embrace the iterative nature of R&D, knowing when to pause or persevere.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 0-3+ years experience with new product development.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity.
• Effective communication and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks independently.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with injection molding and extrusions; experience with glass or building materials a plus.
• Oracle or ERP system experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply new technologies to develop products that solve customer needs.
• Take a concept from idea phase through to production launch.
• Develop and execute testing plans for novel concepts.
• Apply tools like DFMEA, DVP&R, Cost Estimates, and work within a stage-gate process.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables.
• Embrace the iterative nature of R&D, knowing when to pause or persevere.
