About The Position

The Product Engineer/Engineer I will be responsible for the design and development of bellows and bellows assemblies using SolidWorks and EJMA calculations. This role involves providing preliminary designs and production sequences for new products to the sales team for quoting. The engineer will also support production by reviewing customer requirements, creating manufacturing prints, and troubleshooting production issues. Additionally, the position requires serving as a liaison between production and customers, responding to technical inquiries, and conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in product engineering, product development, or a related role.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of machining processes, materials science, and sheet metal forming processes.
• Experience with stress calculations, such as tensile stress, share stress and hoop stress.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive at seeking knowledge and understanding processes and data.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., AS, AMS, ASME, ASTM, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design bellows and bellows assemblies using SolidWorks and EJMA calculations.
• Provide preliminary design and production sequences for the sales team to quote new products.
• Review customer requirements, create manufacturing prints, design manufacturing prints and troubleshoot production issues.
• Respond to customer technical questions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
