Requirements

BS or technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years in design or a pertinent engineering discipline.
Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working closely with various internal teams and understanding customer requirements.
Solid engineering knowledge in mechanical systems.
Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and design tools like AutoCAD or Solid Works.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, blueprint, or sketch form.
Self-starter mentality.
Capability to engage with multiple internal customers.

Responsibilities

Designing new and improved mechanical or electro-mechanical products, as well as modifying existing solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
Converting customer inputs into actionable designs.
Resolving product-related issues.
Maintaining current specifications through thoughtful modifications.
Engaging in prototype development and evaluating functional requirements to ensure quality before production begins.
Undertaking quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing product longevity and functionality while driving manufacturing cost reductions.
Coordinating product tests.
Delivering precise production drawings.
Collaborating closely with tooling design teams.
