About The Position

As a Product Engineer in the Analog Circuit Analysis Lab, you will support new technology development, product ramp, and technology transfers by analyzing electrical failures, determining their root causes, and recommending corrective actions. The role involves collaboration across analog circuit analysis and design, testing and characterization, device physics, and semiconductor technology. You will work on aspects of new technology development and help identify failure causes and corrective actions. The role offers broad exposure to design, test, and semiconductor process experts, with an emphasis on following data efficiently to determine root causes. You will communicate findings and recommendations in final reports and defend them to designers, process experts, and management.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework in analog circuit design, semiconductor processing, process control methodology, and/or device failure analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive results.
  • Strong time-management skills to deliver projects on time.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships.
  • Proficiency with bench-level test equipment such as DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
  • Experience with Python, LabView, Spoffire, MATLAB, VBA (Excel), C++, and/or other programming skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up tests to electrically verify failures.
  • Use global isolation tools such as OBIRCH and EMMI.
  • Understand and apply the failure-analysis flow to identify root causes efficiently.
  • Perform electrical characterization of MOS and bipolar semiconductor devices.
  • Perform electrical characterization and analysis of analog integrated circuits.
  • Communicate findings through final reports and defend recommendations to designers, process experts, and management.
  • Probe internal nets on integrated circuits.
  • Understand and apply equipment used to test and characterize semiconductors.
  • Analyze electrical failures, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to support technology development, product ramp, and technology transfers.
