Product Engineer, RF/MMIC

About The Position

MACOM's MMIC Product Engineering team is seeking a motivated engineer to support the development and production release of RF and microwave semiconductor products. This role provides hands-on experience throughout the product lifecycle, from engineering samples through production launch and sustaining support. Working closely with Product Management, Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Applications Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations, you will participate in product characterization, data analysis, test development, yield improvement, and new product introductions. Requirements

B.S. or M.S. degree in: Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering or Related Engineering Discipline
Basic understanding of: Semiconductor devices
Basic understanding of: Analog/RF circuits
Basic understanding of: Measurement equipment
Basic understanding of: Statistics and data analysis
Experience from coursework, internships, or projects involving: RF design
Experience from coursework, internships, or projects involving: Electronics testing
Experience from coursework, internships, or projects involving: Semiconductor devices
Experience from coursework, internships, or projects involving: MATLAB, Python, JMP, LabVIEW, or similar tools

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with: RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator)
Familiarity with: Microwave fundamentals
Familiarity with: Semiconductor manufacturing
Familiarity with: Statistical analysis methods
Internship or co-op experience in: Semiconductor industry

Responsibilities

Support product development from engineering samples to production launch.
Assist with collection and analysis of production and characterization data.
Participate in development and validation of production test plans.
Support RF and microwave laboratory measurements.
Assist in root-cause investigations for product, test, and manufacturing issues.
Contribute to yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Help prepare datasheets, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
Work with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions (NPI).
Support production release and sustaining engineering activities.
Learn and apply statistical methods for process monitoring and data analysis.
Track project actions and communicate status updates to the engineering team.
