About The Position
Pella Corporation is seeking motivated engineering students for our Product Engineering Internship. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting product development and engineering initiatives through meaningful projects that contribute to quality, cost, and product performance objectives. Interns work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while developing technical, analytical, and professional skills in a real-world environment. If you're interested in applying engineering principles to product development, solving technical challenges, and gaining experience similar to that of an entry-level engineer, we'd love to connect with you.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related scientific discipline
- Strong academic standing
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, or involvement through campus organizations, work experience, athletics, volunteer activities, or other experiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to learn new technologies, systems, and engineering tools
- Ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous internship or co-op experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Support engineering projects focused on quality, cost, performance, and product improvement
- Apply engineering principles and problem-solving techniques to assigned projects and tasks
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
- Utilize engineering tools, technologies, and processes to deliver project results
- Analyze data and communicate findings and recommendations
- Gain exposure to product development and engineering processes within the fenestration industry
- Develop technical, professional, and leadership skills through project ownership and collaboration
