About The Position

Minit Charger is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Engineer passionate about EV chargers and renewable technologies to join their team. This hands-on role involves defining, developing, reviewing, and validating hardware and software systems for innovative battery chargers and connected solutions. The ideal candidate will own the product development lifecycle from concept through post-production in a high-tech environment.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in power management systems, battery chargers, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in taking products from development stage to production.
  • Familiarity with industry protocols (Modbus, CANOpen, TCP/IP, 4G/LTE, 802.11x, Bluetooth).
  • Good understanding of FMEA and design for manufacturing (DFM).

Nice To Haves

  • Passion for EV chargers and renewable technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platform efforts.
  • Experience with embedded systems and control components.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in system-level design architecture for embedded systems, control components, BESS, and cloud platform efforts.
  • Partner closely with Hardware and Software Engineers to establish requirements, review schematics, and define electrical and cloud platform architecture.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers on architecture, hardware-software interfaces, and communication protocols.
  • Develop requirements with a strong focus on functional safety compliance (e.g., IEC 61508).
  • Create comprehensive product characterization test plans, execute them using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc.), and generate clear technical reports.
  • Own the entire product lifecycle from initial concept and requirements gathering through post-production support.
  • Manage bench and field testing to ensure products meet application requirements.
  • Work with business and marketing teams to educate them about our value proposition and market differentiation.
  • Optimize existing designs and provide constructive criticism on new designs developed by the offsite engineering team.
