About The Position

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology. Cadence is seeking a Product Engineer to work closely with the FastSPICE R&D team on new technology development, product validation, and customer issue analysis. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality FastSPICE solutions by contributing to technology evaluations, debugging customer-reported issues, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance product performance and usability.

Requirements

Basic understanding of MOS transistor-level circuit design and semiconductor fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with SPICE and/or FastSPICE simulation tools through coursework, research, internships, or industry experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with analog, mixed-signal, custom digital, or memory circuit design.
Exposure to EDA tools and simulation methodologies.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and circuit verification concepts.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the FastSPICE R&D team to support new technology development and product enhancements.
Analyze and troubleshoot customer-reported issues involving transistor-level circuit simulations.
Validate and test new product features, methodologies, and improvements.
Assist in reproducing, debugging, and resolving technical issues in collaboration with development teams.
Develop and execute simulation test cases to evaluate product functionality and performance.
Document findings, recommendations, and resolutions for internal teams and customers.
Communicate technical information effectively to engineering teams and stakeholders.
