Requirements
- Electrical Wiring - Candidate should be familiar with developing and releasing wiring harness designs for a vehicle electrical distribution system (EDS).
- Resolving DFMEA/design-for-manufacturing issues with harness suppliers
- Having hands-on experience with OEM wiring design tools (e.g., CATIA/Capital, or equivalent schematic-capture and harness-design software)
- Knowledge of SAE/USCAR wiring standards
- Ability to read and mark up 2D/3D wiring diagrams and geometry
- System engineering
- Root cause analysis

Responsibilities
- Support daily warranty claim binning, triaging incoming claims, and prioritizing containment actions based on claim count & priority ranking
- Support manage the change process for Engineering Issues: Coordinating plant trials, leading manage the change sign off process, ensuring the manufacturing plant is ready to incorporate design changes
- Support error proofing systems identifying resolution for both internal & external issues
- Attend VRT sub-system meetings, working with supporting skill teams to resolve quality & design issues
- Review internal end of line electrical issues, triaging DTC's, developing workplans to resolve
- Leverage quality systems to identify customer issues based on DTC information
- Lead design resolution of low voltage EDS issues
- Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaign items and assess warranty impact
- Participate in vehicle builds and led resolution of issues (AIMS/JIRA)
- Develop roadmap to eliminate high hurt internal/external issues.
- Develop business cases for engineering changes using facts and applicable data
- Lead engineering changes from initial concept through production launch
