About The Position

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on AI Product Engineer to join our Banking Technology group. This is a senior-level, strategic role designed for a leader who thrives at the intersection of product management, artificial intelligence, and software engineering, with a strong emphasis on user design and visual strategy. You will be responsible for shaping the future of our financial products by identifying high-impact opportunities for AI, ensuring a holistic approach across mobile and desktop platforms, and leading the end-to-end lifecycle from concept to scaled production, including the deployment of AI as a Service. This is not a traditional development role. We are looking for a product-minded technologist who can bridge the gap between complex business challenges and cutting-edge AI solutions. You will be heavier on the "product" side—defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap, including the user design and visual strategies—while maintaining the deep technical expertise to guide a cross-functional team in building and shipping world-class, AI-powered applications that delight our users.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technology, with a proven track record of shipping products from concept to launch in a product-centric or entrepreneurial role.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving user design and visual strategies for technology products.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role that blends product management (defining the "what" and "why," including user experience and visual design) with software engineering (defining the "how").
  • Deep subject matter expertise in applying modern AI/ML techniques to solve real-world business problems.
  • A strong understanding of core banking and financial technology domains (e.g., commercial banking, risk, transaction services, capital markets) with experience aligning strategies across mobile and desktop banking environments.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. Experience with project management, influencing without direct authority, and successfully driving strategic initiatives with execution teams.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive decisions among senior leaders and diverse stakeholders, including gathering and integrating user feedback to inform product direction.
  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles and be comfortable discussing architecture and code with your team, particularly concerning AI infrastructure and service deployment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NLP, predictive modeling, generative AI, and especially developing and deploying AI as a Service solutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Vision: Own the product strategy for AI initiatives within Banking Technology. Analyze market trends, internal business processes, and user pain points to identify and champion new opportunities for AI-driven innovation. Drive the user design strategy and visual strategy to create intuitive and engaging experiences that are consistent across all banking platforms (mobile and desktop).
  • Drive the Roadmap: Translate the product vision, including user design and visual considerations, into a clear, actionable roadmap. Develop and prioritize features, epics, and user stories to guide the engineering team, ensuring alignment with holistic banking strategies.
  • Lead from the Front: Act as the key technical and product leader for a dedicated team of engineers. Mentor team members, establish modern engineering best practices, and foster a culture of excellence and rapid iteration.
  • Bridge Business and Tech: Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, end-users, and the development team. Articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and translate business requirements, user feedback, and design principles into robust technical designs. Actively sit with users to gather insights, validate designs, and ensure product-market fit.
  • Hands-On Prototyping and Architecture: Be prepared to get hands-on with building proofs-of-concept and initial prototypes to validate ideas quickly, integrating user experience and visual design from the outset.
  • Champion and Influence: Influence and negotiate with senior leadership to secure buy-in and resources for your product vision, including AI-as-a-service initiatives. Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes effectively across all levels of the organization, driving strategy with execution teams.
  • Manage Risk and Compliance: Uphold the firm's commitment to risk management and compliance. Ensure that all product decisions and technical implementations adhere to the highest standards of security, ethics, and regulatory requirements, safeguarding the firm and its clients.
