Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on equipment troubleshooting experience.
  • Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.
  • Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to apply engineering judgement to adapt and drive deliverables in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic fast-paced challenging environment.
  • Support product development from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support.
  • Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.
  • Provide technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near term product releases and solve customer issues.
  • Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.
