  • Deep understanding of blockchain and crypto payment ecosystem.

  • Data fluency - ability to write own queries (SQL) and build own funnel analysis.
  • AI powered workflow, using AI daily to accomplish work.
  • Fraud and risk product experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product for funding and payout, including ACH, wires, SEPA, local rails, and stablecoin/crypto on/off-ramps.
  • Own the customer experience of moving money, focusing on metrics like time to first successful deposit, payout success rate, and settlement times.
  • Drive rail and provider strategy, including evaluation, selection, and negotiation with banking partners, PSPs, and on/off-ramp providers.

  • Reduce payment failures and friction, addressing issues like returned payments, rejected transfers, and reconciliation breaks.
  • Define and own provider redundancy strategies to ensure service continuity when a rail or provider fails.
  • Own the product built on top of verified identity, including pre-filling onboarding for returning customers, managing customer credentials for partners, and enabling counterparties to recognize each other.
  • Rebuild onboarding processes to leverage existing verified identity, aiming to reduce customer drop-off.
  • Build the attestation layer as a product, defining what Rise vouches for and how customers manage this information.
  • Build a federation layer allowing customers to use their Rise-verified status with partners and accept identity established elsewhere.
  • Develop business identity as a product, modeling organizations, owners, signers, and counterparties to streamline adding new entities or markets.
  • Leverage verified identity to enhance other Rise products, such as increasing limits, unlocking new products, or speeding up payouts.
  • Provide customers with clear status updates and explanations for pending or failed transactions.
  • Lead a group of engineering leads, setting priorities, maintaining quality and pace, and ensuring coherence across product areas.
  • Grow engineering leads by providing ownership, backing their judgment, and facilitating their success.

  • Write clear specifications and decision records for engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with compliance, finance, operations, support, and engineering teams.
  • Serve as the internal and external voice for these products, engaging in partner conversations, provider reviews, customer escalations, and enterprise diligence.
