About The Position

This role is responsible for managing and maintaining part data within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). Key duties include creating new parts, updating existing ones with revision changes, correcting data errors, and performing data migration. The specialist will collaborate with various departments like Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure data accuracy and integrity. They will also be involved in documenting procedures, training users, and interpreting technical documents such as customer drawings and specifications.

Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Outlook
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate and percent.
  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram from.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports & business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, employees of the organization, and the general public.
  • Current valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field is preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience working in an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred)
  • Experience with fastener products desired

Responsibilities

  • Create new parts in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) for RFQs and awarded business, ensuring all part attributes, specifications, and customer information are entered accurately and completely.
  • Verify revision (rev) changes on existing parts and update part records in D365 F&O to reflect current customer drawings, specifications, and requirements.
  • Identify and correct data entry errors and inconsistencies within D365 F&O to maintain a clean, reliable parts database.
  • Perform data migration activities, including importing, exporting, and validating part data between systems and during system updates.
  • Review customer drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents to confirm data entered into D365 F&O matches source documentation.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing to obtain necessary part information and resolve discrepancies in part data.
  • Serve as a liaison between functional groups (Sales, Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering) to improve part data processes, procedures, and overall system quality.
  • Maintain documentation of part creation procedures, data standards, and migration processes; assist with user training on D365 F&O part-related best practices.
  • Read and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings to support accurate part data entry.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
