The Product Development Scientist/Engineer ensures that scientific instrumentation under development by R&D performs reliably throughout its intended scientific and product-lifecycle applications. This is a product-development role rather than a sales applications role, connecting engineering performance with real-world product performance across scientific use, manufacturing, quality control, service, and other lifecycle activities. The role evaluates whether the complete product performs as intended, develops and executes application-level studies, interprets instrument and measurement-system behavior in context, and works with engineering teams to identify the sources and significance of performance limitations, variation, and unexpected results. It provides experimental evidence and application understanding to support product requirements, performance claims, release decisions, and continued improvement. This independent-contributor position works across multiple teams and has no supervisory responsibilities. Travel to other Anton Paar facilities domestically or internationally may be required, at less than 5%.
