About The Position

KHAITE is seeking a Product Development, RTW Intern to join its team for the Spring 2027 semester. The position reports to the Product Development Manager, RTW and is based at the company’s New York City headquarters. The internship is unpaid and offered for college credit only.

The intern will support ready-to-wear product development by preparing sample packages, coordinating samples and visiting local factories and vendors. The role also involves maintaining digital design boards and product information in the RLM PLM system, and organizing samples and work areas.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program; preferably Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Technical Design, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of garment construction, fit, and product development, with a particular interest in woven materials.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

• New York domestic development experience.
• Proficiency in RLM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sample launches, including preparing cut tickets, corrected patterns, sew-guides, and mock-ups for sample package preparation.
• Visit local factories and vendors daily to transport samples and check on development.
• Launch mock-ups, pattern plot outs, fabric fusing, and related development work.
• Update digital design boards and WIPs.
• Maintain updates in the RLM PLM system, including style entries, bills of materials, and cut tickets.
• Organize sample racks for fittings and maintain the working space.
