About The Position

The Product Development Research Associate II is responsible for conducting scientific research to support the development of proprietary In-Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) products at Geneoscopy. This role utilizes various molecular, cellular, genetic, and pharmacological techniques focusing on the quality, consistency, and high-throughput execution of all experimental workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Possess 2 – 4 years of hands-on laboratory experience, conducting experiments, and collecting data.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to consistently achieve throughput targets and experimental reproducibility with low-error rate.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail, reliability, and high accuracy in laboratory documentation.
  • Exemplify the ability to multitask and thrive in an agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Possess a proactive willingness to learn and master new methodologies.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills while willing to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows including RNA extraction, library preparation, hybrid capture, and sequencing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments designed by Product Development Scientists, collect and analyze data to support product development activities.
  • Perform laboratory work under minimal supervision: 70% lab execution, 20% data analysis, and 10% reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and lab problems by leveraging foundational subject matter knowledge, while proactively collaborating with PD Scientists for complex problem solving.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols, while driving the implementation, support, and revision of new SOPs.
  • Assist the team in ensuring continuous compliance with all applicable regulatory and internal quality systems.
  • Coordinate and assist with routine instrument maintenance and calibration tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of laboratory reagents, consumables, and essential supplies.
  • Document findings by writing reports and summaries for internal stakeholders and technical communications.
  • Contribute to technical and cross-functional activities throughout the development process.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with members of the multidisciplinary Geneoscopy team.
  • Provide coaching and/or mentoring to junior team members.
  • Assist as needed to perform other related duties and special projects as required.
