About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division is seeking a Product Development Program Manager to execute Eaton’s product development lifecycle (PROLaunch) and lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish, ensuring business goals are met or exceeded. The role drives continuous improvement and a lean culture, and provides cross-functional teams with processes, tools, and systems to optimize productivity and support organic growth. The division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and electronic-based products that ensure power reliability in demanding applications. This is a hybrid office role with a 3x2 arrangement for candidates living within 50 miles of the Raleigh, North Carolina facility. Relocation benefits are available within the United States only. The expected annual salary range is $113,000–$165,000; actual salary depends on skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
At least six years of project management experience in a new product development environment.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
Experience with project scheduling and resource planning.
Experience completing financial analysis.
Knowledge of the product development process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience leading and collaborating across an organization to achieve goals.
Excellent critical-thinking and analytical skills for data-driven business decisions.
Self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, attentive to detail, task-oriented, and able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements.

Nice To Haves

Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent).
Product engineering or product design/development experience.
MBA or master’s degree.
Experience in the electrical industry.
Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to electrical and mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

Execute and manage large product development projects across multiple offices and time zones.
Collaborate with functional organizations to develop and track project schedules, budgets, and resource plans needed to complete projects.
Work with functional teams, program managers, and the executive team to improve the maturity of program management practices throughout the organization.
Create comprehensive business plans for product development projects.
Address ambiguous challenges using expertise in project management, change management, and communications.
