The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Integrated Operating Unit offers devices and therapies that treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure. The Cardiac Rhythm Management R&D PMO is looking for a Product Development Program Director to lead the development of the next generation Active Implantable Medical Device program on a CRM Core Team. The Director provides the critical Program Management expertise to enable crisp execution in a cross-functional matrixed environment, encompassing Design, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Operations, and Quality. Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. Most of the time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members. This position is in Mounds View, MN. within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) unit. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, math or a technical discipline and minimum of 10 years of work experience with 7 years of managerial experience OR advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, math with 7 years of managerial experience.

  • Experience in leading within matrix organizations requiring strong influence management skills, with the desire to develop collaborative relationships within program level core team model and multiple functional organizations.
  • Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards such as; 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485:2016, and EU MDR 2017/745.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.
  • Oversee and manage the development aspects of the ongoing projects and serves as liaison between development, quality, business units, operations and manufacturing sites.
  • Manages the development and implementation process of a company’s products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.
  • Manage the project budget and schedules and prepares weekly status reports.
  • Lead the development work of the project from initiation through delivery.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members, site leaders, and others as deemed necessary.
  • Works with team to gather requirements, complete requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders.
  • Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.
