About The Position

The Product Operations Manager role serves as one of the most critical insurance product leaders on the payer product and operations team. In this role you will be responsible for working with internal and external partners to fully operationalize Prisma's new and existing health insurance products. The product portfolio includes Medicaid MCO, Medicare Advantage, Individual, and a suite of Commercial products. This role will also ensure complete alignment between the enterprise payer strategy and the product portfolio - making recommendations for alterations to existing products and introduce new products. This role is the ultimate owner for new product development - ideation to go-live, and on-going product success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or relevant Health Care field
  • Seven (7) years insurance operations, sales, compliance, product management, project management experience.
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, databases, data entry)
  • Knowledge of office equipment
  • Mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of insurance services and products, compliance and operations.
  • Knowledge of health plan insurance operations and procedures.

  • Knowledge of Visio preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Product SME with vendors and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Troubleshoots and informs enterprise payer strategy of issues that arise within the Product.
  • Provides recommendations for product revisions and new product additions based on market feedback.
  • Involved in internal partner collaboration, leadership and management (ex. Sales, Acct Mgmt., Clinical Mgmt., etc.).
  • Involved in external partner collaboration, leadership and management of (ex. TPA, PBM, Captive Manager, etc.).
  • Serves as SME for training, marketing and communications, and other knowledge transfer opportunities.
  • Acts as market expert including understanding the competition and performing market research.
  • Analyzes data that impacts operational success.
  • Informs enterprise payer strategy, specifically focused on health insurance product portfolio.
  • Develops and executes project plans from ideation/strategy to implementation/go-live.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
