About The Position

We are seeking a Product Development - Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This person will work in the Research & Development group at the manufacturing facility and will provide direct line production support for the vehicle’s body systems. This person will be troubleshooting issues on the assembly line, documenting noted issues, and developing containment recommendations. New graduates are welcome to apply!

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.

Responsibilities

Developing solutions to complex problems while maintaining the integrity of the product
Identify, troubleshoot, contain, and permanently correct engineering issues in the assembly plant
Develops mechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators
Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Coordinates testing of design for durability and compliance to Federal, State, and local requirements
Works directly with Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Purchasing, and other Product Development Engineering groups
Supports Manufacturing and plant goals of safety, quality, and cost
