About The Position

Responsible for leading the development, standardization, and execution of modular building products within an industrialized construction environment. This role focuses on the transformation of design intent into practical, repeatable solutions that can be efficiently manufactured, transported, and installed in the field. Works closely with design, preconstruction, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and field install teams to ensure alignment from early concept through project execution. Leads product development and supports active project delivery, with an emphasis on scalability, cost control, continuous improvement, and constructability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience typically includes a minimum of eight years working in industrialized construction, modular, prefabrication, or related fields, with direct involvement in design, manufacturing, or field execution.
  • Strong communication skills; able to work across multiple teams and keep things moving and ability to communicate progress and status to overall organization in a timely and meaningful way.
  • Solid understanding of industrialized construction, including prefabrication and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA).
  • Working knowledge of building systems, materials, and how assemblies come together in both the factory and the field.
  • Ability to connect design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation into a single workflow.
  • Good grasp of cost drivers, scheduling impacts, and supply chain constraints.
  • Knowledge of building codes, quality standards, and compliance requirements related to modular or manufactured building systems
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction documents, shop drawings, specifications, and engineering details.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with cost control principles, value engineering, and budget-conscious product development.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with BIM and related tools is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and advances modular building systems, assemblies, and components from early concepts through manufacturing and field installation.
  • Converts project-specific designs into standardized, repeatable products that can be deployed across multiple projects and programs.
  • Works with preconstruction and estimating to align product solutions with project budgets, schedules, and scope.
  • Coordinates with design and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, code-compliant, and ready for production.
  • Partners with design and procurement to identify materials, components, and suppliers that support reliable and scalable delivery.
  • Works directly with manufacturing teams to refine production processes, sequencing, and tolerances while driving continuous improvement through Kaizen principles.
  • Coordinates with logistics and field teams to ensure solutions are optimized for shipping, handling, and installation.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, simplify assemblies, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Works with design, procurement and manufacturing to develop and maintain product standards, details, and supporting documentation.
  • Works with the Continuous Improvement team to apply feedback from factory and field to improve products, efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and standardization.
  • Identifies and works through risks related to design, supply chain, manufacturing, and installation.
  • Supports the rollout of new product types, pilot programs, and ongoing improvements to existing systems.
  • Works with vertical leads to keep alignment across all phases of delivery.
  • Coordinates and oversees all workstreams or product development efforts from initiation through completion, ensuring timely execution and alignment across teams. Maintains clear communication with vertical leads to provide visibility into progress, priorities, and outcomes.
