The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role within the R&D organization, supporting and advancing materials and process technologies that enable growth and innovation across the Safety and Industrial business. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Supports new product development, product modifications, applications, technology/process development, cost reduction, and quality improvements Provides technical support to customers/clients, analyzes results, and develops solutions to technical challenges. Explores new technologies or product concepts and supports milestone achievement or commercialization. Builds and maintains a strong technical network; participates in and may lead teams and customer interactions. Documents work, prepares technical reports and presentations, and communicates findings internally and externally. May review intellectual property and ensure proper documentation of experimental work. Assumes leadership roles and may mentor or train other technical staff or customers. Applies corporate initiatives and may contribute to technical strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Minimum three (3) years of mechanical engineering experience within a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Four (4) years’ or more of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Molding experience
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong people skills and ability to influence, collaborate, and work with cross-functional team
  • Self-directed and internally motivated with proven leadership skills
