About The Position

Our client a leading Global Manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer to drive the design and commercialization of the next generation of masterbatches and specialty additives. This isn’t a desk job. You will be the technical bridge between a customer’s "what if" and a scalable, high-performance reality. Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you’ll have the autonomy to run experiments, the influence to drive commercial strategy, and the technical grit to lead successful scale-ups on the plant floor.

Requirements

BS in Chemistry or Polymer Science and 5+ years of direct experience in polymer compounding or masterbatch development.
Deep expertise in extrusion, injection molding, and additives.
A self-starter who thrives on ownership and can pivot quickly to support production or urgent customer needs.
The ability to translate complex technical data into actionable business insights for both internal teams and external clients.
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities

Design high-performance formulations (masterbatches, flame retardants, specialty compounds) and take them from lab-scale to full commercial production.
Act as the technical face of the company, partnering with commercial teams and customers to solve complex application challenges.
Lead plant trials and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure formulations are scalable, cost-effective, and meet rigorous quality standards.
Help expand R&D capabilities by evaluating and implementing new equipment and cutting-edge lab processes.
