The Product Development Engineer – Power Supply System Calibration position offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI) involves developing electrical charging system calibration in the powertrain control module for gas engines, EVs and Hybrids (Low voltage side). This includes developing calibration for alternator control torque manager, engine idle stability for electrical transients, alternator voltage set point controls, and alternator diagnostics. The role also involves releasing the calibration into Ford system software and supporting powertrain development trips for engine calibration by modifying alternator calibration to assist in meeting engine performance requirements.
