About The Position

In this position, the Electrified Propulsion Engineering Power Electronics Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and validation of control strategies used in non-motive power conversion modules (AC onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters). This position entails working collaboratively with Ford internal and external teams including Hardware, Software, D&R, Validation, and power electronics suppliers to design / develop components that meets corporate requirements, specifications, and customer needs. The selected candidate will be part of a team that will drive future product development and deliver industry-first features in the growing field of vehicle electrification.

Requirements

  • Experience with design, implementation, and validation of control strategies for power conversion modules (AC onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters).
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal and external teams (Hardware, Software, D&R, Validation, suppliers).
  • Understanding of corporate requirements, specifications, and customer needs.
  • Familiarity with the field of vehicle electrification.
