As a Product Development Engineer-I at 3form, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing cutting-edge architectural materials and products. Working closely with more senior engineers and designers, you will contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to final production. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams on new product development and product improvement projects, spanning over all 3form material, hardware, and lighting product lines. You will assist in the exploration of technologies, concepts, and innovative products within the R&D team, and conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement and problem-solving applications. You will provide technical product expertise for existing platforms to support the sales team and internal partners, and contribute to infrastructure improvement efforts within the Product Development Team. Additionally, you will assist in developing and maintaining design specifications, CAD models, testing data, CTQs, and documentation for finished products and raw materials. You will contribute to the development of product standards, quality specifications, and process controls for new products, and support identification of tooling, equipment, and infrastructure needs for product development and material characterization. You will assist in developing test methods and executing prototyping, testing, and validation activities, and collect, analyze, and document product performance data to support validation and ensure alignment with defined CTQs. You will also support 3form's sustainability mission by identifying and developing sustainable product opportunities. Other Engineering Responsibilities include designing components utilizing various manufacturing technologies, working closely with vendors and purchasing in the sourcing and production of prototypes and inventoried products, and managing projects and timelines from conceptual ideas to completed, documented, and ready-to-sell products. A hands-on approach to leading the installation and testing of products in development is expected. You will demonstrate the ability to work independently, seeking guidance and support when needed while maintaining momentum on projects. You will assume responsibility for project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring timely and successful completion. You will adapt quickly to compressed timelines and changing project priorities, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in fast-paced environments. You will maintain a proactive and adaptive approach to project management, adjusting plans and priorities as needed to meet evolving business needs. Finally, you will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise to drive creative solutions and deliver on-time results.
