Product Development Engineer/Analyst
About The Position
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the ICE/MHT RWD profit centers of Ford Motor Company. We have an opportunity for qualified people to help us succeed in this critical management area from program initiation through launch. I need a self-starter who ideally understands or is willing to learn/lead the Ford process and is able to motivate others into feeding their components or sub-systems into the requirements for the transmission as a whole, identify problems, identify solutions, and communicate project status to upper management. As an Industrialization Program Engineer/Analyst in the RWD transmission systems group, your responsibilities will include:
Requirements
- Clear and concise communication both written and spoken
- Microsoft Office application fluency (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
- 2+ years exp Transmission or Powertrain knowledge
- WERS, Integrator, FEDE, AIMS, e3p, Team Center, 3DX
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Manage milestone cadence within GPDS parameters
- Lead milestone assessments, presentations (up to Director level), and evidence management.
- Lead or support TPMT (Transmission Product Management Team) for your commodity
- Act as transmission lead/SPOC in Vehicle program meetings
- Collect and enter Integrator assessments
- Provide Finance, Purchasing, Planning and Manufacturing team support
- Coordinate with Team of Four groups
- Manage BOM/FEDE-BOM/3DX
- Support WERS/3DX release
- Support Manufacturing and Capacity Planning PAT’s.
- Coordinate with Transmission Systems Engineers on resolution of all Program issues.
- Support prototype vehicle sign-off
