About The Position

The Product Development Coordinator will coordinate women's handbag development from initial concepts through production. This hands-on role collaborates with design and production teams and works directly with overseas manufacturers to help ensure products meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations. The position is in office in Los Angeles and involves both creative and technical aspects of product development.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of product development experience in fashion or accessories, with knowledge of materials, construction, and costing.
• Experience working directly with overseas factories on sampling, manufacturing, and production timelines.
• Must be based in Los Angeles.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience with women's handbags, leather goods, or fashion accessories.
• Strong Excel skills and product tracking experience.
• Familiarity with vendor negotiations, quality control, and margin management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate women's handbag development from initial concepts through production.
• Partner with overseas factories on sampling, materials, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Evaluate product samples for construction, quality, and design accuracy.
• Manage development timelines, identify potential delays, and keep projects moving.
• Maintain accurate product details, line sheets, and sample records.
• Support buyer presentations, product photography, and sample approvals.
• Monitor retail trends and competitor products to support collection development.
