About The Position

Delan Associates, Inc. is seeking a Product Developer in the Tallahassee, Florida area for ongoing job opportunities. The Product Developer is responsible for designing and developing software or hardware products. The role involves understanding business and customer requirements and using them to analyze and design technical solutions. The developer participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and product integration. The position also develops design specifications and parameters that comply with product architectural blueprints, researches and evaluates new technologies and tools to improve product development, resolves customer product complaints, and responds to suggestions for product improvements and enhancements. The developer may also assist with developing product user manuals.

This is an intermediate professional-level position involving product design and development for medium- to highly complex assignments. The developer works on multiple projects as a team member and may sometimes act as a technical leader or coach more junior technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of high-tech industry, product engineering, and/or IT work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software or hardware products.

• Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and integration.
• Develop design specifications and parameters that comply with product architectural blueprints.
• Research, evaluate, and incorporate new technologies and tools to enhance the product development process.
• Resolve customer complaints about products and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• May assist in developing product user manuals.
• Work on multiple medium- to highly complex product design and development assignments as a team member, sometimes serving as a technical leader.
• May coach more junior technical staff.
