About The Position

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a Product Developer to support the development and refinement of Private Brand assortments. This role involves managing product details, maintaining vendor relationships, organizing specifications, tracking samples, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet expectations. The position contributes directly to improving quality, value, and customer satisfaction. The Product Developer will collaborate on timelines, support artwork approvals, and help resolve issues that arise throughout development. The work involves refreshing assortments, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities to elevate product performance, supporting the creation of competitive, consumer-ready products across multiple categories.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
• 3+ years of related work experience required
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt positively to change in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of Flex PLM and Adobe Illustrator
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• A team-first attitude

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of product development experience preferred
