The Product Developer is accountable for significant business results and provides authoritative advice on business operations, with a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. This role primarily impacts a sub-function and involves staff management, including resource allocation within the team or project.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all activities related to the development of new products and/or features and functionality of products, including developing business cases, requirements definition (BRDs), product enhancements, innovation, and feature/functionality definition based on market research, industry trends, and client needs.
  • Manages the end-to-end product development lifecycle, scopes product releases, agrees to and tracks business priorities, incorporates regulatory and compliance requirements, and manages investment tracking.
  • Creates a product vision aligned to business priorities and a corresponding road-map for delivery.
  • Follows market, industry, and client trends to adapt them for application to Citi’s products and solutions platforms.
  • Conceptualizes, plans, prioritizes, coordinates the design and delivery of products or features for product release, and serves as a product ambassador within the user community.
  • Works in close coordination with Sales, Technology, Business Managers, and senior stakeholders to fulfill delivery objectives.
  • Manages and implements a wide variety of products and solutions to meet client needs.
  • Delivers significant direct business results and provides authoritative advice regarding product development, necessitating a degree of responsibility over technical strategy.
  • Partners with senior business leaders and a widely distributed global user community to define and implement solutions.
  • Creates clear and specific project plans, and business and technical requirements documents for product execution.
  • Interacts directly with business managers, technology, and sales to understand their long-term vision, discuss industry trends, and incorporate them into the product and solutions strategy.
  • Focuses on controls and governance, including performing Need-to-Know based security and access reviews, Access Approvals, controls testing, and documentation.
  • Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
