About The Position

Our client is an innovative company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and installation of custom interior solutions for the commercial, hospitality, and retail sectors. We are seeking a passionate Product Developer to contribute to the design and development of custom projects. Using SolidWorks, you will play a key role in bridging the design, production, and project management teams to deliver innovative, functional, and high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in product design or product development
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally involving custom-made product development
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical drawing interpretation
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom products using SolidWorks
  • Create technical drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation
  • Analyze client needs and propose appropriate solutions
  • Select materials, components, and finishes based on project requirements
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure design feasibility
  • Prepare and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
  • Support production activities and resolve manufacturing-related technical issues
  • Participate in design meetings and project follow-ups
  • Review and validate internal and external technical drawings
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, budgets, and project timelines
  • Provide technical support to sales, project management, and production teams
