About The Position
Our client is an innovative company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and installation of custom interior solutions for the commercial, hospitality, and retail sectors. We are seeking a passionate Product Developer to contribute to the design and development of custom projects. Using SolidWorks, you will play a key role in bridging the design, production, and project management teams to deliver innovative, functional, and high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in product design or product development
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally involving custom-made product development
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical drawing interpretation
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom products using SolidWorks
- Create technical drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- Analyze client needs and propose appropriate solutions
- Select materials, components, and finishes based on project requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure design feasibility
- Prepare and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
- Support production activities and resolve manufacturing-related technical issues
- Participate in design meetings and project follow-ups
- Review and validate internal and external technical drawings
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, budgets, and project timelines
- Provide technical support to sales, project management, and production teams
